Recensies

“The whole evening was focused around the word “Heart” and included three artists who painted on stage pictures connected to hearts. Claudia Van Rooij, the artistic director of the evening did a fantastic job in combining all the elements and performers to one fascinating show. At the end of the evening the pictures were sold and a lottery took place. 1,600 people came to see the show and at the end of the evening enough money was raised for Save a Child’s Heart to purchase a new echo machine for the medical team of the Wolfson Medical Center, where all the medical work of Save a Child’s Heart takes place.”

“One of the most exciting and emotional moments of the evening was when Mira Awad read a letter from Sorete, an Ethiopian girl who underwent lifesaving heart surgery in Israel. In the letter Sorete described her journey to Israel and how her life changed since she had the surgery. ‘(…) I feel comfortable here. When everything in my life felt like it was falling apart, SACH came and picked me back up again. Had it not been for SACH, my life would not be back to normal. Lately, I haven’t been able to stop smiling. I feel good, and I am regaining my strength. (…)”.
